JOB BRIEF:
We are offering permanent job opportunities at the largest shipyards, workshops, manufacturing facilities, and ship engine rooms across Central and Northern Europe. The role involves conducting technical inspections and repairs of diesel engines, performing maintenance and repairs on other ship mechanisms and equipment, as well as fault diagnostics and troubleshooting. You will collaborate with technologists to develop efficient and effective repair methods. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform technical inspections, maintenance, and repairs of diesel engines and other mechanical systems on ships.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in ship machinery and systems.
  • Collaborate with a team of technologists to determine the most efficient repair methods.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols during repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and systems inspected.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferably in the field of ships/shipbuilding).
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in internal combustion engine repair (experience with heavy wheeled equipment will also be considered).
  • Ability to read and interpret engine technical documentation and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with the use of precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers) – an advantage.
  • A Seafarer’s book (advantageous but not required).
  • Strong sense of responsibility, honesty, and discipline.
  • Basic English language skills (minimum A2 level).
  • Valid driver’s license, Category B.
